Famous director Ridley Scott recently talked to MTV about the "Alien prequel". "Right now we have a lot of pages with me, Alien prequel is the 4th draft. It is a work in progress, but now everything is concrete. We will make the story. Currently trying to improve the other three drafts for Alien and make my characters interesting to build something I could shoot. There was no longer any doubt, do the movie.
Ridley also revealed that the action is set in 2085, 30 years before the character played by Sigourney Weaver - Ellen Ripley - were born. We'll find out who is Space Jockey, and the main character is a woman. When Scott's ALIEN thought the original was supposed to be Ripley man, not woman, but changed his mind at the auditions.
"We hope the film will reach cinemas in late 2011 or no later than 2012." said Ridley. And as we know there will be two Alien prequels one in 2011 and another in 2012. If the first Alien movie will be in 2012 then the second could come in 2013. For now I can't wait to see the first alien prequel trailer.
